Good news! Google has posted factory images for each Nexus device, so you can go ahead and update your device to Android 6.0 Marshmallow right now instead of waiting.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is packed with a lot of new features including improved battery efficiency and Now on Tap that displays relevant information to help users tick off more tasks from their to-do list. Key among the new features available with the operating system is Google Now on Tap, a digital assistant that serves up contextual information to users as they use an application or service. In the mean time, are any of you Nexus 5 owners having reception issues after updating to Android 6.0? But the company has traditionally been quick to update its more recent phones, so at least the LG G3 and G4 are likely to get Marshmallow at a few point. Since there is no need to manually sync the Nexus device with a computer for getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, upgrading to it shouldn’t cause any difficulties.
With the recent release of the newest Nexus devices, people are now anticipating the widespread arrival of the operating system (OS) to other phones from that line, but it appears not all will be receiving the update.
“Apps designed for Android Marshmallow only ask for a permission at the time it’s needed to use a feature”, wrote Google vice president of Android product management Brian Rakowski.
On Lollipop, Android made it easier to set up your new phone from your old one, migrating your apps and app data. In that case, you can find all the factory images for all Nexus devices here.
Those snapping up the Nexus 5X and 6P will get be the first to get their paws on Marshmallow without having to update.
The update is said to reach the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, as well as the more recently launched Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5.

For fingerprint sensor enabled devices, Marshmallow will make the fingerprint the gatekeeper to unlocking the device, authorizing transactions in the Google Play Store, signing into 3rd party apps, and going through checkout with Android Pay.
