Google Rolls Out Android Nougat

Android Nougat has officially dropped and now the wait begins. But Google favors a staggered rollout for its updates so it can find and squash early bugs, and it may be several days before your phone or tablet actually offers to download and install the update for you.

The exciting new update is likely to bring the new features for mobiles.

But as was evident in many cases of the three stock Android models made by LG, the V20 is setting up to disappoint in the same way they had.

Another neat thing about Nougat is that it will be receiving quarterly maintenance updates and developer previews will also be released, the next one to come with fall. You can check out our guide here to walk you through the process. We’ve been hearing for quite a while that the new Android 7.0 Nougat operating system would feature “seamless updating” and now it seems all but confirmed. According to this pattern, the both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7, 2013, are covered till October 2016, but after that they will both be left behind.

Finally, the day has arrived for Android users to say hello to Nougat.

The release announced Monday means many Nexus-branded devices should receive a free upgrade to Android 7.0, nicknamed “Nougat”, during the next few weeks.

The first device that will have Android Nougat out of the box is the LGV20 that is set for launch very soon.

Right now the Beta program is a a reliable way to skip the queue for over-the-air updates and get your Android 7.0 update.

Since it is one of the newest devices from Sony, it will also release Android N to it in the future. The rest of us will have to wait for our phone’s manufacturer to create and release their own Nougat versions, and many of us will have to wait still longer for the new software to be approved by our carrier. The hardware of these phones should have had the capacity of supporting the new Android N.
