Google: Sorry for Nexus 6P Delay, Here’s $25

To make up for the delay, Google is offering customers a $25 refund that gets automatically processed after the phone ships.

The Internet giant is sending out e-mails to Nexus 6P buyers, saying that because of the “strong demand”, it might take them a little longer than expected.

According to 9to5Google, the company attributed the delay for not being able to keep up with the strong demand. Getting the camera module out also requires you to gut out the Nexus 6P and remove the motherboard from its place.

As of now, we’re expecting to deliver your 6P order between 11/7/2015 and 11/14/2015, and we’ll send you a notification as soon as it goes out the door.As a courtesy, we’ll give you a $25 refund on your purchase, which we’ll process soon after your phone ships. Most of Huawei’s fingerprint sensors-like on the Ascend Mate 7 and Mate S-have square fingerprint readers, so this was most likely a way to reuse the same components while keeping the design motif consistent with the Nexus 5X. Those who gave up on Nexus are tempted to return with the current Google Nexus 6P. However the upside is that in general, the aluminum build should allow it to withstand a few degree of abuse, but even then if you’d rather not incur a hefty fix bill, perhaps investing in protective cases might be a good idea.

Aside from a super fast performance because of its quad-core 1.55 GHz Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810, it sports a wide quad high definition display. The phablet is also budget-friendly, at $499, which is already big compared to the starting price of last year’s iPhone 6 Plus of $649.
