Google Updates My Account Privacy, Security Hub with Phone-Finding Tool

“Find your phone” is one of the three new features Google is adding to the My Account service. If you already have Google Maps installed, once you agree to beta test Maps, you will shortly receive an update that brings you the testing version of the app (version 9.27).

Many people neglect the Google Play Store APK itself, but it is important that you update the Play Store app from time to time.

Still, it’s a quick, easy resource, and if you’re anxious about your GMail being read, or need to deactivate your Google accounts quickly when your phone is stolen, it’s a useful tool. This feature could help Android users manage their downloads to keep the apps most pertinent to their life when storage space is precious.

When the memory on your Android devices start getting full, Play Store’s uninstall manager will kick in and suggest unused applications that are occupying too much space and may be uninstalled. There is no regarding information when this feature will be available to the Play store. After a successful trial period, application is now available for free on Google App store and will soon be available for users of iOS as well.

In coming weeks, a shortcut to personal account information will appear at the top of Google’s search results whenever logged-in users enter their own names in the query box.

Of course, besides apps, Android device storage is also consumed by video, photos, media files, and cached data from apps and Chrome.

Google’s larger solution to the problem of hefty, slow-to-load apps, more recently, has been to cut them up into tinier pieces to speed up their installation and launch.

Apparently the feature doesn’t include other space saving suggestions such as uploading files to Google Drive, Photos, or Play Music.

Google’s phone location feature isn’t capable of locking an iPhone or remotely erasing it unlike Apple’s Find my iPhone.

Google’s new feature will analyse your usage and frequency of app use and tell you which app you could uninstall to make space on your phone
