GOP bigs drafting plan for Romney presidential run
He said his job “is to figure out how we get people on the edge of their chairs so they… give money”.

Mitt Romney may return because Republicans have no idea how to stop Ben Carson and Donald Trump. “You have Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, then Iowa and a week later, New Hampshire, and it’s going to be over in the blink of an eye”.
“The rest of the field is still wishing upon a star that Trump and Carson are going to self-destruct”, said Eric Fehrnstrom, a former adviser to 2012 nominee Mitt Romney.
Jowers said Republicans have been in trouble for the past month or so, with Trump and Carson continuing to dominate the polls despite concerns about their lack of experience and continued missteps.
A few in the GOP establishment had come up with a strategy for Romney’s late entry to compete for the party’s presidential nomination though Romney had so far shown no interest for a candidacy, said the USA daily the Washington Post on Friday. Whoever they are, the party’s “elites” have little or no influence with voters, as manifested by the Trump and Carson phenomena.
With 15 Republican candidates in the race and none of them showing signs of dropping out, Jowers said a Romney endorsement could shift control of the race back to the establishment wing of the party. “Every morning Mitt and I look at each other and I go, ‘high five!'” They can either ride the wave of insanity or be carried out to sea.
The GOP establishment is getting nervous now that the nomination for the Republican Presidential candidate is coming down to frontrunners Donald Trump and Ben Carson.
Before Tuesday’s debate in Milwaukee, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker had a private reception at the Pfister Hotel with party leaders, donors and operatives.
Most Republicans thought that Trump and Carson both would just fizzle out over time as they participated in the debates amongst other career politicians that would take them down in a few way.

But what if Mitt Romney were somehow to become the Republican nominee? “But if they’re anything like me, they’re surprised by Trump’s staying power”. He had made a few nasty comments on Twitter about Fox News host Megyn Kelly in the beginning, then later made a few claims about former Florida Governor Jeb Bush that has made for a whirlwind of publicity over the theatrics alone. “People don’t want to write checks unless they think the candidate has a chance of winning”.
