GOP candidate Lindsey Graham, making a point: ‘Bring on the virgins!’
Former New York Governor George Pataki declared Tuesday that Donald Trump can not be the GOP nominee for president after the statements he made about barring Muslims from entering the United States.

“Donald Trump has done the one single thing you can not do”, Mr. Graham said.
And he was just as pugnacious in attacking his GOP opponents, with Donald Trump at the top of his target list. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) said that while all Muslims aren’t jihadis, “The reality is all jihadists are Muslims”, and Americans “Have to stop worrying about defending some people and start defending all Americans, because we aren’t right now”.
The debate is sponsored by CNN.
“I want to make sure that the person responsible for his wing has the ability to do the job that they’re doing”, Santorum said, referencing his son, who is enlisting in the US Air Force. At the fifth Republican debate on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, Graham had a number of remarkable lines.
“Muslims have died by the thousands” fighting ISIL, Graham added, suggesting they deserve better.
By contrast, Santorum earned applause as he strongly defended Trump even though he said he disagreed with the particulars of his proposal. A recent appearance in New Hampshire’s capital city found the low-key South Carolinian wielding his winning wit against the cheap tricks and tactics of the insurgents trying to storm the GOP citadel.
Asked how many troops he would send to the region, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says it would be a strategic mistake to announce such a detail on stage.
“Leave the faith alone, go after the radicals that kill us all”, he said. He later said Trump “is the Know-Nothing candidate of the 21st century and can not be our nominee”.
To Americans: “We’re at war, folks”.
“Promising to carpet bomb until the desert glows doesn’t make you sound strong, it makes you sound like you are in over your head”, she said, referencing a promise Texas Sen.

The candidates all criticized Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim entry, but to varying degrees.
