GOP candidates locked in bitter fight for SC primary win

Yet their day on the trail was overshadowed by Pope Francis’ extraordinary reply to a question about Trump and his focus on building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to stem illegal immigration. “People are getting upset with each other”. “It just seems like (Pelosi) was really going to look to impeach Bush and get him out of office which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing”. As a result, Trump won by almost 20 percentage points – and one of the biggest storylines was what one of the candidates, Rubio, didn’t do.

Haley, who earlier this week endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio in the Republican presidential race, said she is quite “content” with her responsibilities as the Governor of SC and bringing up two kids.

Trump called the Pope’s words “disgraceful” on Thursday, but offered a distinctly softer jab as he courted SC voters on Friday. Page said he is personally backing Rubio.

In nearly every national poll, Florida Senator Marco Rubio falls in 3rd including in SC.

“Cruz has proven that he is willing to do or say anything to get elected. I’m just saying Ted Cruz holds up the bible and then lies”, he said.

“Bob Jones is (part) of the old establishment, that’s the crowd it draws”, Burns told FoxNews.com.

Donald Trump has doubled down on nearly everything in SC.
