GOP debate free of anti-media tirades

CNN’s Dana Bash will be asking the GOP candidates questions at the primetime debate.

So I will be saving my energy for the main debate which begins on CNN at 8 p.m. EST.

Noticed a growing rivalry between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz? The Texas senator is on the rise, particularly in Iowa’s kickoff caucuses, and is casting himself as a more electable alternative to Trump, while Rubio is seeking to straddle the divide between his party’s establishment and more conservative wings.

Tuesday night’s debate was the first for Republicans since the attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California, which heightened fears of terrorism in the United States. Marco Rubio of Florida; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie; Ohio Gov. John Kasich; and Sen.

Trump didn’t go after Cruz by name during a Las Vegas rally on the eve of the debate, but said the prime-time faceoff could turn messy.

However, I have decided not to live tweet the GOP Undercard Debate. Rick Santorum, South Carolina Sen.

Some, including Florida Sen. Rand Paul. Four lower-polling candidates will appear at an earlier event: former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Pennsylvania Sen.

As I have done with most of the debates, I will be live tweeting tonight’s GOP Main Debate at #GOPDebate on Twitter. Lindsey Graham and former New York Gov. George Pataki – will precede the top-tier debate. They can’t have notes, props or cell phones at the lecterns.

The Salem Radio Network will carry the debates nationwide. With Blitzer known for his foreign policy chops, a CNN source told Politico that candidates should think of this as the “commander in chief” debate.

Answer time: In the past, candidates have complained about the short time allowed for answering questions, and many have ignored moderators who tried to stick to the rules.
