GOP debate highest rated so far in 2016

Down to his final desperate hours of trying to sway New Hampshire presidential primary voters to his side, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is turning to the Clinton story for inspiration – Bill Clinton’s story, not Hillary’s.

Meanwhile, the so-called “establishment” candidates – the kind of mainstream Republicans that usually prevail in New Hampshire – are split.

“I would pay them to keep running that clip because that’s what I believe passionately”, Rubio told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday morning. Mahoning County Republican Party Chairman Mark Munroe is in New Hampshire and says volunteers have been helping out the governor since last August.

“I’ve got somebody in mind to build it”, Cruz said, referring to Trump.

He’s on every show: “Donald Trump said this”. After boasting about his own far-right record on the issue, the former governor added, “But I think we have to be cognizant of the fact there’s a lot of people that are concerned about having a pro-life position without any exceptions”. Marco Rubio on Sunday told a national TV audience and Granite State voters he’ll do it again. “As I said to someone recently, ‘I engage at a time of my choosing.’ I chose last night to engage with Senator Rubio because the stakes are so high here in New Hampshire”.

Sanders continued to make an appeal to the youth vote, making several brief appearances in comedy skits on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

That’s when Chris Christie sees an opportunity. As she greeted the senator after the event, she leaned in and said: “At the next debate, please stand up to Christie”.

In response, Rubio criticized Christie for his character and integrity.

“That’s not leadership, that’s truancy”, Christie said. “Because they’ve been here, shaking people’s hands, they might be able to close the deal”, said Kuehne.

Only a few minutes into the debate in New Hampshire Mr Rubio was savaged by Mr Christie, who said: “Marco simply does not have the experience to be president of the United States”. The senator found his footing later in the debate when outlining his call for more aggressive action to fight the Islamic State group and emphasizing his anti-abortion stance. But he’s faced criticism for messages his campaign sent to voters ahead of the caucuses saying rival Ben Carson – another favorite of religious conservatives – was dropping out and urging the retired neurosurgeon’s supporters to back him instead. Ted Cruz 2 points behind him.

Those ethics, he said, “say if it’s legal, you do what you do to win”.

Rubio emerged from Iowa looking as though he was that candidate, with a third-place finish in Iowa that was stronger than expected.

Cadorete said that after attending at least five presidential campaign events over the past year, she will hold off on a decision until the moment she actually looks at the names on the ballot. “I’m very happy about it. I did everything I wanted to do”.

“I was really on the fence”, she said.
