GOP debate recap; what’s next in the race?
There is a growing push among many Republican groups to find some way to keep Donald Trump from capturing the nomination.

“He should have beaten President Obama”, Trump said, noting that Romney wants to still be relevant.
In a speech Thursday, Romney described Trump as a “phony” candidate who would pose a danger to the country if elected.
Republican presidential candidate, businessman Donald Trump, second from left, speaks as Sen. One sickening tirade had Trump and Rubio mockingly calling each other Little Marco and Big Donald, with Trump later referring to Cruz as Lyin’ Ted – continuing the trend of these debates getting seamier as they go. “He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat”, he said.
The Wall Street Journal finally asked Gardner, “Is there a reason you won’t say, ‘I will support Donald Trump if he’s the nominee?’ Your candidate said that tonight”.
Trump fired back during a press conference of his own. “I guarantee you, there’s no problem”, Trump said, getting a loud, sustained response from the crowd and setting a odd tone for the start of the debate.
“He choked like I’ve never seen anyone choke”, he told a rally in Maine, which holds its Republican primary on Saturday. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich watch him a Republican presidential primary debate at Fox Theatre, Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Detroit.
For Cruz and Rubio, the window to catch up with Trump in the delegate count is quickly closing.
Romney said his wife, Ann, asked him if wasn’t “glad you’re not up there” on the debate stage after the raucous and – at one point – sexually suggestive face-off at the 11th candidates’ debate.
“I’m not running for president and I won’t run for president”, he said.
The prime-time event comes two days after Trump dominated the Super Tuesday contests, notching seven victories and picking up hundreds of new delegates.
Clinton has attacked controversial Trump before also.
If you were looking for fireworks at the Republican debate in Detroit Thursday night, you were likely not disappointed.

“And that’s going to defuse the non-Trump, the 65 percent of the vote, that isn’t now for Trump”.
