GOP Lawmaker Says He’ll Vote for Clinton Over ‘National Embarrassment’ Trump
Hanna said in an opinion piece posted to New York State.com Tuesday he’s planning to vote for Clinton because Donald Trump is “unfit to serve our party and can not lead this country”.

Whitman also made her endorsement public on Linkedin, writing that though she is a “proud Republican”, she has to put principle over party. “I trust she can lead”, Republican Congressman Richard Hanna wrote in an op-ed in his local daily Syracuse Post-Standard.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has regained a firm lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump in the run-up to November elections, polls show.
“If we underestimate our opponent or take this race for granted, we’ll lose”, the email said, referring to Republican nominee Donald Trump. “This year is different”, she said in a statement released Tuesday night. Claiming his candidacy has “exploited anger, grievance, xenophobia and racial division”, Ms. Whitman instead pledged her support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The tech executive, who was formerly EBay’s CEO, raised concerns about Trump’s approach to issues around immigration, the economy and foreign policy. “Trump’s unsteady hand would endanger our prosperity and national security”. “America needs the kind of stable and aspirational leadership Secretary Clinton can provide”.
Whitman added that she would be encouraging “Republican friends” to help support Clinton and that she herself would be donating to Clinton’s campaign.
Mr Obama said that Mr Trump’s attacks on the Muslim parents – Khizr and Ghazala Khan – of a soldier killed in Iraq mean the Republican candidate is “woefully unprepared” to serve as president. A net 12 percent of GOP members back Clinton compared to 5 percent of Democrats who support Trump.

Meanwhile, the former first lady was also beating Trump 50%-42% in a national NBC News/Survey Monkey poll out Tuesday, a substantial increase since the organization’s poll last month which showed Clinton ahead by just one percentage point.
