GOP-led panel to question officials on FBI probe of Clinton
Cooper’s confession came during day two of the Rep. Jason Chaffetz-led Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing.

The admission was made by Justin Cooper in testimony to the House of Representatives’ Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
“If anybody is under any illusion that I’m going to let go of this and just let it sail off into the sunset, they are very ill-advised”.
Cooper said he did not have security clearance although he was an administrator, along with Pagliano, for the server.
“Yes, a brute force attack from my understanding is a series of high frequency failed log-in or attempted log-ins using a variety of usernames and passwords”, Cooper said.
Republicans have assailed Comey’s ruling and demanded that the Justice Department open a new investigation into whether Clinton lied during testimony a year ago before the House panel investigating the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi.
Pagliano’s attorney sent the committee a letter affirming his client’s constitutional right to refuse to testify. Two other witnesses who were subpoenaed did appear but continued to plead their Fifth Amendment right to not testify, further frustrating Chaffetz and other GOP lawmakers trying to get to the bottom of Clinton’s email. The firm helped set up Clinton’s private servers at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y., and then moved the servers to New Jersey. Combetta is believed to be the individual who deleted backup servers that contained Clinton’s emails after Congress issued a preservation order.

Chaffetz said there will be consequences for Pagliano’s refusal to appear and for “thumbing his nose at Congress”. The witnesses on several occasions said they could not answer the questions from lawmakers in an open forum.
The committee later voted to hold the remainder of the hearing in closed session.
In a politically charged hearing in the midst of the former secretary of state’s campaign for the White House, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee attempted to undercut the conclusion reached by USA investigators that Clinton was “extremely careless” in her handling of classified national security information on her unsecured email server, but that no criminal charges were warranted.
