GOP platform gets official Trump makeover – see what was decided
Heck, it’s not even Donald Trump’s!

The Make America Awesome PAC, a group opposed to Donald Trump, posted a letter to the committee members urging them to vote to unbind convention delegates. On Monday, the committee recommended Bharara be reinstated as a delegate.
Nevada Chairwoman Diana Orrock, a member of the RNC convention rules committee, told CNBC that no one will overturn the requirement that keeps delegates bound to whichever candidate they had vowed to vote for when chosen as a delegate.
But many Republicans worry that Trump’s series of controversial statements, his lack of a traditional campaign organization and communications strategy and his departures from GOP orthodoxy on issues like global trade and US military commitments will spell doom in November.
Fox News and Gingrich mutually agreed to suspend his contributor agreement: “Due to the intense media speculation about Gingrich’s potential selection as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, we felt it best to halt his contributor role on the network to avoid all conflicts of interest that may arise”. It’s all going down. Rather, he says, it’s that 40 percent of the births in the US are by girls and women who are not married.
The movement to select someone – anyone – other than Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s presidential nominee faces its first major test this week, and a handful of delegates from Washington state are among those working to make sure the effort succeeds.
Asked about the impending reinstatement of Bharara as a delegate, Patrick Mara, executive director of the D.C. Republican Party, said he had been too busy to worry about the case. “This is about saving the party and winning in the fall”.
“Through hours of debate on topics ranging from federal lands to immigration to the economy to family values, a handful of delegates gathered for Platform Committee meetings ahead of next week’s Republican National Convention repeatedly challenged their peers to moderate provisions affecting gay and lesbian Americans”. Barasso says Trump “has not really tried to weigh in on the platform”. Trump carried every Florida county except Miami-Dade.
Yet most of those delegates – 40 of the 41 chosen at the state Republican convention – didn’t initially support Trump, but instead favored Texas Sen. “So I can’t imagine that people are gonna sit around and not do anything”. At this point, the cake is baked. Even though he has far more than the needed 1,237 delegates bound to him for the main event – the vote for the nomination – by his campaign’s own count, he has only about 900 delegates fully loyal to him.
“The [convention] rules permit and require the binding of delegates”.
“You don’t change the rules after the game. That’s not right”, Winbush said.

These comments come as another group that partners with Delegates Unbound tries to force a vote on the convention floor on a new rule that would unbind the delegates. Steel said. “This is her moment in the sun”. “We’re emailing them, we’re calling them”, he said. Shannon Jones resigned from her convention spot, telling The Cincinnati Enquirer she didn’t want to participate in a process that would lead to Trump’s nomination.
