Donald Trump has called for a total ban on Muslim immigration to the United States – and it doesn’t appear that his comment is some off-the-cuff remark.

Trump is also familiar with the NBA’s all-time leading point scorer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – also a Muslim – who he locked horns with in September after the basketball great penned an essay critical of Trump’s “absurd, uninformed or just plain incorrect” statements.
“So it’s time to say that, in fact, what Donald Trump is doing in one way or another is doing the bidding of our enemies, because we – our enemies, in particular ISIS, wants to see the American people divided, for example, against the Muslim-American community”, de Blasio said.
“Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the risky threat it poses, our country can not be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life”, Trump said in the statement.

Following the November terrorist attacks on Paris and the San Bernardino shootings last week, Trump argued that the USA should monitor mosques and families of terrorists. The poll, released in June, also asserts that 51% of those polled “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah [law]”, a legal framework in which laws and personal conduct are dictated by Islamic religious teachings.
