GOP presidential candidates lobby Florida Republicans

Cheney, a divisive figure even with members of his party, happens to be one of the main reasons why the GOP lost the trust of many voters on foreign policy and national defense.

Tonight’s dinner kicks off a weekend in which all the major Republican presidential candidates will appear Friday and Saturday at the RPOF’s Sunshine Summit. Cheney has previously said he is “honored” when Democrats and Jon Stewart compare him to Darth Vader.

“It’s pretty clear to me… that in fact she did not handle the matter appropriately, that she consciously misled the American people and that I think it does raise serious, serious doubts about her capacity to be president of the United States”. “It’s extraordinarily important that the Republican Party reclaim the reputation that we’ve had for most of my life – that we are the go-to guys on national security and defense”.

“I think she’s in big trouble”, Cheney said about the former secretary of state, according to The Washington Post.

Politico reports, too, that Cheney said nothing in his speech about friendly hand puppet George W., choosing to focus instead on his continued belief that Obama is bad: “My impression is that Obama is eager to get out of town”.

Donors also head a preview speech from Rubio, who will be the first presidential speaker on Friday.

“I’ve got to believe that she knew she had to protect and safeguard classified information that she was guardian to as secretary of state”, he said.

“I think if she did do something wrong in her capacity as secretary of state, I think that would say a lot about whether she should be elected to be the commander in chief – I don’t think she should be”, he said. And for free, I might add: those people at the “Florida Republican Party fundraiser” paid good money to hear Dick Cheney’s opinions on these things, money they could have otherwise spent on Ayn Rand books and bath salts.

Asked about the GOP’s struggles winning minority voters, Cheney noted he and George W, Bush received 44 percent of the Hispanic vote and that there is no reason the party can’t do that well or better again.

Cheney reminded almost 1,000 of the GOP’s most loyal supporters, gathered at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, of Clinton’s controversies with the attack on the USA diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, and her use of a private email account while the nation’s top diplomat. Rand Paul, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Carly Fiorina.
