GOP rules vote peeves Wyoming’s mostly pro-Cruz delegates

Cruz discussed his appearance at the upcoming Republican National Convention with Politico, stating, “I don’t know that I’m in a position to give campaign advice to Donald Trump”, said Cruz.

Kera Birkeland, a delegate from Utah, another state involved in the effort to force a recorded vote, told Yahoo News that she was threatened by two Trump supporters in a convention bathroom.

The Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee exerted vast amounts of pressure on nominees from a handful of states that unsuccessfully pressed for a recorded vote on the convention rules on Tuesday.

Sengenberger, a former Cruz supporter, said Trump visited Colorado again last month and again brought up the alleged unfairness of the state’s election rules. Cruz would not discuss what his main speaking points will surround on Wednesday.

The 44 members of the Washington delegation are overwhelmingly made up of supporters of Texas Sen. Gohmert’s rationale for what that particular calmuny is not a disqualifier perhaps shows how many Republicans who realize Trump is an unqualified clown will come to vote for him anyway. The anti-Trump contingent wanted a “roll call” vote in which each state would have the opportunity to accept or reject the Convention’s rules.

Despite describing himself as a “happy warrior”, Cruz lamented that the primary process was unfairly disrupted by the media, which relished the idea of a Trump candidacy in the belief that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would beat him easily in the general election. That should have been enough to demand a roll call. Though the efforts of the “Never Trump” movement appeared to have failed, that isn’t stopping angry delegates from making their voice heard on the convention floor.

Along with putting Cruz’s name into nomination, another symbolic move would be for delegates to announce their votes for other candidates besides Trump. “I said, ‘No, I’m talking about one-on-one'”.

The nominating process began with House Speaker Paul Ryan welcoming Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to the stage, who proceeded to compare America to trench warfare on the Western Front in World War I. He claimed that only Trump would be able to lead America out of these metaphorical trenches via his boasts of great strength.
