GOP Sen. Mark Kirk says he won’t support Trump for president
Trump’s pitch came on one of the toughest days of his unpredictable campaign, as top Republican leaders and donors denounced as racist and troubling his comments about a federal judge’s ethnicity. “Not as a Republican, not as a political person, but I think it’s just wrong as an American”. She cites what she contends is McConnell’s blockade of President Barack Obama’s judicial nominees including Supreme Court pick Merrick Garland, and Ryan’s acquiescence in the strategy.

Trumps comments have sparked a fury on Capitol Hill where many Republicans worry that Trump’s racially-tinged criticism of Judge Gonzalo Curiel could ultimately hurt down-ballot GOP candidates competing in congressional races this year.
Donald Trump himself has stood by his comments but has sought to defend them by saying that they were “misconstrued” by his opponents and said that a person’s heritage doesn’t necessarily mean they can not be impartial.
But a GOP senator who had previously indicated support for him withdrew his backing.
Either way, Collins appears to be withholding her support of Trump indefinitely, even as others in her party – including U.S. Sen.
“We’re only getting started, and it’s going to be lovely”, Trump told supporters gathered at his golf club in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., to celebrate victory in the last five Republican primaries of the year, wrapping up his remarkable run to the GOP nomination. Trump may be a bigoted racist, but he’s the GOP’s bigoted racist, gosh darn it!
A Republican Congressman from Cincinnati penned an open letter to Donald Trump about the Trump University lawsuit telling him: “Settle the damn case, and apologize to the judge”.
“I do absolutely disavow his comments”.
He said he and Trump have a “different version, a different value system and a different objective”.
“I will make you proud of our party and our movement”, Mr. Trump said.
“Some people say I’m too much of a fighter”, Mr. Trump said.
“Trump is also House Speaker Paul Ryan’s kind of candidate”, Warren will say.
Several prominent Republicans have condemned Trump for making racist comments about the federal judge overseeing the Trump University case.
“On the other hand”, he added, “I’m concerned about Hillary Clinton and her tenure as Secretary of State and her leadership qualities and her questionable veracity about things”. “So frankly, I really think the burden is on him to put forward a far more positive message”.

Curiel has ordered the release of internal Trump University materials detailing its marketing practices in a class action filed on behalf of dissatisfied students who took the real-estate investment course.
