GOP spokesman uses My Little Pony to defend Melania Trump’s speech

Trump’s eldest son, Donald, Junior, as a delegate for Trump’s home state of NY, cast the votes that officially put his father’s nomination over the threshold needed to secure the nomination.

State party chairman Tuckerman Babcock had expected the delegates to be divvied up according to the results of the Alaska GOP’s presidential preference poll in March, barring any letters from Sens.

The accusations of plagiarism dominated day two of the Republican national convention as the Trump camp was put on the back foot.

“On Tuesday, a last effort to displace Donald Trump failed and he was chosen as the GOP’s official presidential candidate”. His vice presidential pick, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, was also formally nominated.

Former state Rep. Peggy Wilson, a Trump delegate from Wrangell, said Trump isn’t trying to become president for fame or glory because he’s already rich and famous.

A detailed list of events has been released for the entire week’s programs at the Republican National Convention.

Washington state delegate Eric Minor talks to reporters as he reacts to a roll call vote on the adoption of the rules during first day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Monday, July 18, 2016.

“I just thought that she is such a sweetie”, Wilson said.

The evening’s program ended on an unusual note, with an actress-turned-avocado farmer delivering the closing speech – a spot normally reserved for prominent speakers. “What I did for New York, Donald Trump will do for America”, Giuliani said.

The Washingtonian ran the transcripts of the suspicious paragraphs from Trump’s speech through a comparison plagiarism checker, Small SEO Tools.

“I am so proud to be your nominee for President of the United States”, he said.

Christie told CNN earlier that he will be drawing from his experience as a prosecutor to “make a case” for Trump, which is as close to an affirmative defense as the candidate is likely to receive this week if Monday night’s focus on Benghazi and McConnell’s planned speech are any indication.

But Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort told The Associated Press the issue had been “totally blown out of proportion”, insisting no mistakes had been made with the speech.

Manafort even haggled over the number of offending plagiarised words in Ms Trump’s speech, denying that it was 58, as the media suggested, and more like 30.

Who said it: Melania Trump or Twilight Sparkle from “My Little Pony”?

Speaking with CNN’s Dana Bash right afterward, Trump Jr. said: “I watched him work so hard and speak to so many real people who are feeling left out”.

Security forces were on high alert in Cleveland. “What’s important to us is we support a candidate who is going to be able to beat Hillary Clinton in November”.

“We have gotten off course and the American people know it”, Sessions said in his speech, warning that crime is rising, terrorist attacks are proliferating, and Congress is deadlocked, arguing that Trump is the only answer. Two of Trump’s children testified to his character, casting him as a man undeterred by challenges.
