Early on Friday, Trump revisited another of his controversies when he said his recent, repeated claims that U.S. President Barack Obama founded the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria were sarcastic.

It’s an instinct that Trump’s opponents say a president can’t possess.
On Monday, 50 prominent Republican national security officials, including a former Central Intelligence Agency director, called Trump unqualified to lead the country and said he would be “the most reckless president in American history”.
Donald Trump’s inflammatory style is leading high-ranking Michigan Republican officeholders and candidates to take a hands-off approach to their presidential nominee before Election Day.
Yet Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman insists they believe he has a chance to turn CT red for the first time since 1988, and that’s why he is holding weekend rally there on Saturday.
Those reports were fueled this week by an open letter 70 Republicans planned to send to Priebus urging him to shift resources away from Trump and toward House and Senate races instead.
And new swing state poll numbers from NBC, The Wall Street Journal and Marist show Trump lagging behind Clinton in four crucial swing states: Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Several Republicans have denounced Trump and expressed their support for Clinton, and several more, such as Sen.
“Of all the candidates on the ballot this November, only Donald Trump has made a commitment to protecting the lives of the unborn”, the statement adds, calling that position “something we as Catholics stand behind”.
Observing that the next president “will be tasked with lifting America out of 8 years of stagnant economic growth, with fighting terrorism as it encroaches on our shores, with fixing a broken immigration system, and with appointing the replacement of the late justice Antonin Scalia”, the CRs declare that Trump “has a certain strength and a particular vision to see that these tasks are accomplished”. Those concerns are compelling enough that dozens of anxious Republicans gathered signatures Thursday for a letter urging the GOP chairman to stop helping Trump and focus on protecting vulnerable House and Senate candidates. Sometimes somebody will say well we’re not going to support Trump.
“I’m the one raising that’s funding [sic], I’m the one that’s raising the money and other people are getting to use the money that I raised”, he said. She lied. She lied.

“They want to patch up a rift that just keeps unfolding”, a source told Politico, speaking about Friday’s sit-down, which is to be held in Orlando. On Thursday, when Hugh Hewitt asked Trump if he had meant that Obama “created the vacuum, he lost the peace”, Trump reaffirmed that he meant what he’d said: “No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do”.
