Gopal Subramanium seeks NSA’s help in DDCA probe
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who recently passed objectionable words like psychopath and coward against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, faced criticism from BJP who said that these remarks bring insult to the country and its people especially to the ones living in the national capital who voted him to power.

DDCA official sought sexual favors from a player’s mom, Kejriwal alleges – The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) mess got murkier with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleging in a TV interview that a DDCA official had texted the mother of a junior cricketer to “come to my place at night” for her son to be selected.
The Delhi government has set up a committee headed by former Solicitor-General Gopal Subramanium to probe the alleged irregularities.
Kejriwal and other leaders of his Aam Aadmi Party have accused Jaitley of indulging in financial irregularities while he was at the helm of the DDCA. “I am sure Mr Doval will honour my request”.
Striking a defiant note, Kejriwal today said the Commission of Inquiry ordered by his government will probe alleged irregularities in DDCA even if it is struck down by the Centre.
“I don’t want in hindsight to feel that he (Doval) was not sufficiently briefed as he is a person who understands the ramifications correctly and that is why I wrote to him”. In his letter to Doval, Subramanium said that “some of the disclosures may also pertain to national security”. “I’m very particular about security as anything may come up during the investigation”.
The BJP alleged this communication shows that Subramanium is acting “at the behest” of the AAP Government which is using the probe to target Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Kejriwal said that the journalist was willing depose once the Commission of Inquiry starts working.
However, Subramanium did not clarify about the number of officers he has asked for. I am not here to fight or adjudge the defamation of the Constitution.
Yesterday, the former Solicitor General had strongly pitched for live telecast of the proceedings to make it transparent.

Addressing a news conference, AAP leader Ashutosh claimed that the High Court, which is looking into the legality of the Commission of Inquiry formed by Delhi government, has not prohibited it from forming another inquiry Commission.
