Gotham Recasting in Season 3
“Gotham” is gearing up for its third season, and when the show returns to FOX, viewers will find that one of its characters will look very different as little Ivy Pepper (Clare Foley) has grown to become Poison Ivy in season 3.

Pepper’s transformation into a fully-fledged “big, bad Posion Ivy” is given by the Hollywood trade as a possible reason why the 14-year-old actress is no longer playing the role.
“Gotham” Season 3 will return to the network in the Fall of 2016.
It also seems likely that the new Ivy represents TVLine’s previous character description of “a young villainess who uses her sexuality to entrap men”, which certainly ranks among one of the creepier ways Gotham could have made this transition.
Season three of Gotham will also introduce Vicki Vale, best known in the comics as one of Bruce Wayne’s love interests. As for the other villain, she has already been on the show for a while now, but the series is going to recast Poison Ivy because it’s time to up the adult factor.
TV Line reports that the show’s producers are now looking for an actress in their late teens as Gotham plans to accelerate Ivy’s path into embracing her eco-terrorist roots. Stephens mentions a handful of villains including The Mad Hatter, Talon and more.
The second season of “Gotham” ended with Hugo Strange (BD Wong) releasing his reanimated monsters as instructed by his bosses, the antagonistic group called the Court of Owls.
The latest word right now from Screen Rant is that “Gotham” season 3 may possibly see the rise of “Poison Ivy”, a new villain in the mix.
The change is actually both a makeover AND promotion for the character.

Solomon Grundy, on the other hand, was speculated to have appeared in a cameo in season two’s “Unleashed” episode as an unidentified grunting and hulking prisoner at Indian Hill.
