Gov. Haley not set to make endorsement before primary
“Just here in SC this week, he’s lied about my record on Planned Parenthood, he’s lied about my position on marriage, he’s lied about his own record on immigration”. Now, however, he… well, he’s lost two contests and is trailing badly in the other two.

Trump was even more aggressive, describing Cruz the day before as “the single biggest liar I’ve ever come across, in politics or otherwise”.
Candidates Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Marco Rubio are jostling to be that more mainstream candidate, or at least keep their campaigns afloat if they don’t. She said this election’s dynamics are different, with the nation facing massive debt, the threat of terrorism and the loss of a Supreme Court justice. Trump has been polling ahead, with Cruz trailing in second.
“Interesting how President Obama so haltingly said I “would never be president” – This from perhaps the worst president in USA history”, Trump tweeted.
Abortion has emerged as the latest terrain for Cruz and Trump to argue over who is the true social conservative in the race, and the billionaire businessman has charged that the Texas senator is lying.
Trump also threatened to sue Cruz to determine whether he can legally serve as president since he was born in Canada and therefore might not meet the requirements set out in the US Constitution. “I already have a lawyer, we’re looking at it very seriously, we’re thinking about it”, Trump said. The Cruz campaign has repeatedly denied its involvement in the calls, suggesting they are being framed. “That’s what they were trying to create, and [Trump] knew it”, said Limbaugh.
Cruz says his competitors can’t handle the truth. “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are expected to host MSNBC’s Republican town hall, despite Scarborough recently coming under fire for getting too cozy with Trump, an allegation that the network and its hosts have denied.
The support of the rising star in the national GOP has been highly coveted by several of the candidates remaining in the Republican presidential race.
Meanwhile, Bush’s family is joining in on the action. And that was a tough time for our president. Though the ex-president did not once mention Trump’s name, the implicit message was clear: Trump is not a serious candidate.
“‘When we have our time together, we talk to our friends who are part of the legal establishment”, he said. “In my experience, the strongest person usually isn’t the loudest in the room”.
Mr. Trump’s fire is not entirely focused on the Bush dynasty, however.
When Christie, Carly Fiorina and all those others dropped out, the long-term beneficiary appears to have been Trump, the candidate who has locked down that less strident wing of the Republican Party to which Bush once aspired. The ad bills Rubio as a “first-term senator” with “no major accomplishments”. Marco Rubio are in a hard fought battle for the South Carolina Republican primary this Saturday.
Penny Merriman, a 63-year-old retired school board member from Summerville, is deciding between Rubio and Trump.
“I would love her endorsement”, Rubio said during a lunch with reporters on Tuesday.
But Merriman was also resigned to the fact that as a lifelong South Carolinian, she’s long become “desensitized” to the negativity in her state.

“It is the height of hypocrisy for the Rubio campaign to put out a robocall that lies to SC voters and then falsely accuse the Cruz campaign of the same thing”, he said. “She was a totalitarian on it”, he said.
