While concerned educators say that the most recent version of the bill is an improvement, they believe there is still a long way to go.
A conference committee was scheduled to meet late Monday to hammer out differences between the House and Senate as teachers and other public employees packed the state Capitol. The committee didn’t vote on the proposal, effectively killing it.
