Gov. Kasich: We Want Immigration – Population is Stagnant in Ohio
But according to an unnamed Kasich adviser who spoke with The New York Times, Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. reached out to him with an enticing proposal for the OH governor.

According to NY Daily, Donald Trump and his advisers, including his children, who seem to be implied in politics as well, wanted Ohio Governor John Kasich as Vice President.
Donald Trump Jr. says the talk of Kasich possibly joining the ticket took place last spring, well before his father started building momentum for the nomination the convention bestowed on him Tuesday night.
Who says that “make America great again” is just a campaign slogan? John Weaver, the chief strategist for Kasich’s campaign, called Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, on July 4 to inform him no endorsement was forthcoming, according to the Times.
“If Donald Trump loses OH in November, there will probably be people who say it was because Gov. Kasich didn’t support him”, said Alan Glassman, a New Hampshire GOP committeeman who said he’s frustrated that Kasich has refused to back the nominee or attend the high-profile Republican celebration in his home state.
Yesterday, Donald Trump became the official Republican candidate vying for the office of President of the United States this November. Ted Cruz and the Missouri director of the conservative Christian group Concerned Women for America, said numerous criticisms against Clinton are valid, but Republicans need to be careful not to turn off any still-undecided women voters.
“The message is that he would be basically saying “I hope our team member loses” so he can do something down the road”, DeFrancisco said.
He is in Cleveland as a delegate for Kasich at the Republican National Convention.
Kasich said New Hampshire, and the campaign trail, changed him.
Trump denied making the offer to Kasich. Like many other Kasich delegates, she has some ideological differences with the party’s likely nominee Donald Trump.
Christie gave his first public comments since Trump’s decision after a private speech Sunday at a hotel near where Republicans are gathering for this week’s convention in Cleveland.
There’s a fascinating report in the New York Times today, detailing Trump’s recent search for a vice presidential nominee.
So, after losing OH – and the elections – in both 2008 and 2012, the GOP booked the Buckeye state for their 2016 convention.
