Gowdy Gave Clinton a Choice, Even Though Private Interviews ‘Always Produce
It’s not every day that the former first lady and secretary of state can play the underdog. The long hearing uncovered no new revelations in a deadly incident that has been the subject of a half-dozen other congressional investigations and an independent inquiry. “I was not responsible for specific requests and security provisions”.

The claim took Gowdy by surprise during Clinton’s testimony.
Chuck Todd asked Gowdy if Clinton “was a cooperative witness” and Gowdy said, “She answered the questions, and I would note I don’t think I ever cut her off. She was given ample opportunity”.
While Thursday’s hearing has drawn worldwide attention, “the investigation isn’t exclusively about Secretary Clinton”.
Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who appeared with her at a later rally in Virginia, said the Republicans had bestowed a political gift upon her: “I nearly want to thank them, ” he said.
The Clinton campaign said donations soared following the hearing.
“In terms of her testimony, I don’t know that she testified that much differently than she has the previous times that she’s testified”, he told reporters gathered in the Capitol. I blame Clinton and the Obama administration for trying to paper over a threat to USA national security.
On equal pay: “In one of my town halls in Nevada, I called on a little girl who was sitting with her father”.
Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Illinois, thought he saw a smoking gun in an email correspondence from August 2011 in which Blumenthal encouraged Clinton to “make a public statement before the cameras” when Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi was deposed.
And yes, a few of the biggest moments from the Democrats during the debate were pronouncements that the hearing is a partisan witch hunt.
Clinton firmly defended her record while steadfastly dodging any misstatement or display of anger that might damage her White House prospects. Revelations that Clinton relied on personal email and a private Internet server during her tenure at the State Department have only heightened the Republicans’ interest in determining whether more information exists about the attack that killed Stevens and three other Americans. He sought to deflect recent comments by fellow Republicans describing the investigation as an effort to lower Clinton’s poll standings.
Asked what she did after the marathon hearing ended late into the night on Thursday, Clinton said, “Well, I had my whole team come over to my house and we sat around eating Indian food and drinking wine and beer”.

What do you think of Woods sharing his document that proves Clinton lied to victims’ families? “Most of my work was not done on emails with my closest aides, with officials in the State Department, officials in the rest of the government”. She calls Libya a “success”, an evaluation hard to defend in light of four dead Americans and a failed state that is now harboring scores of jihadists. By all accounts, the Democratic presidential frontrunner managed to come out on top after a grueling 17-month probe.
