Grading the Raiders: 15-12 win over Denver Broncos
“He was unbelievable”, Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said of Mack. Yesterday it was their turn to hang around and snatch a win from the jaws of defeat. Afterward, he said he counts this performance as sweeter than his big game at Ohio State in 2013 that cemented his first-round status because “this is the Broncos”. However, as we enter the crucial final quarter of the season, it was the Raiders who were flying high; While the Denver Broncos and Osweiler came crashing down to earth.

The 2nd half is where the fun started though. I think in the second half, we got five carries for four more yards or something like that. “It was a huge moment in the game for us to come out with that turnover”.
Sacks are like slam dunks, worth only one tackle, but with a carry-over effect that can change the course of any match. Facing a must-win situation, the Raiders finished with eight first downs and only 126 yards of total offense, out of which 27 yards were tallied on the ground and an anemic 99 yards through the air. Demaryius Thomas had two big drops, one for a touchdown and another for a late first down. If the offense came out and still was terrible in the 2nd half this game would have gotten out of hand.
It appears the cost of a 15-12 win over the Denver Broncos and continued status as a playoff hopeful was long-snapper Jon Condo.
Instead that touchdown drive made the score 12-7, effectively throwing away any momentum the Broncos had from their dominant first half. They were a gift from quarterback Derek Carr.
“On a couple of occasions, it’s the pressure that Mario’s getting and the pressure that Denico is getting that doesn’t allow the quarterback a step-up lane, and now Khalil is able to get the sacks”, Del Rio said.
As was the case with Oakland, the Broncos must find a way to keep their young QB upright if they want to keep winning football games. One went out of bounds inside the 2-yard line, which set up a Raiders safety. The list of punters the Raiders have had is a list of all-time greats at the position, and Marquette King is putting himself up there with the best of them.

The Oakland Raiders gave it a good ride this season.
Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio has been praised by his players this season. “We’ll have a plan in place by the time we get to Wednesday, but we’ll see where we’re at today and kind of take it a day at a time”. Like I said, you can leave a lot of guys in there and chip people and do all those things, but there comes a time when you’ve got to get somebody out and make some plays. The Broncos’ safety corps has been wrecked by injuries to Ward, Bruton and Bolden in recent weeks….
“He should get better this week”, Kubiak said of Anderson. “Just continue to get back in the lab and work”.

Meanwhile, the Oakland Raiders disclosed that they managed to figure out Osweiler’s style prior to the game. “Yeah, I mean in the first half, the game could have been over”. He was playing hard all day long. “I think going out there; we could’ve done a better job as far as getting points, especially when we were in the red zone”.
