The Tennessee couple lives near the store where the winning ticket was bought and said they will reach out to Tennessee lottery officials later Friday. “I really didn’t feel like stopping that night, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll stop and get them'”.

“I was running down the hallway screaming and crying, and I said ‘You got to check these numbers!'” she said.

Mystery winners in Tennessee, Florida and California will split an eye-popping $1.6 billion from the unprecedented Powerball jackpot that became a national fascination.

John announced that the family will opt for a lump sum payment for their winning, which Lottery Finance Director Andy Davis said amounts to $327.8 million – $327,835,077 to be exact.

The Tennessee lottery confirmed Friday that a family from Munford, Tennessee, is one of the three winners of the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot.

The second of three $1 million tickets from Wednesday night’s historic Powerball drawing has been claimed by a group of 11 coworkers from the Paducah public schools system. “I’ve never wanted that in the past”.

“I’ll be there Monday, ” she said after calling her supervisor to tell her to tune in to “Today”.

John Robinson said he was nervous after revealing his identity on the “Today” show.

“I think the American public wants to hear from them, and even though they want to be private after this is over, they want to let the public know that they’re the winners, ” Townsend said. The ticket was purchased at Naifeh’s Grocery store, and the Tennessee victor will take home their third of the prize – about $528.6 million. The family said on the Today Show that they planned to officially verify the ticket today.

The other two winning tickets were sold in Florida and California. “He’d say, the way you like your coffee, that’s the way I like my lotto”.

“All these years, I’ve wondered what it would be like to call my mom and tell her I won the lottery”, he said.

Asked why they plan on continuing to work, Lisa said quickly, “Why not?”

KABC said the victor was a senior registered nurse at Park Avenue Health Care and Wellness Centre.
