The Long Island Republican is no fan of the controversial Texas senator, and once said he’d “jump off that bridge when we come to it” when asked whether he’d support Cruz as the Republican nominee for president. Ted Cruz, has capitalized on. In District 3, all three delegates are on record as being Cruz supporters, and have said that they would vote for Cruz if things are not decided on the first vote – which is why the Trump camp is so upset.
GOP fight for delegates: There’s 95 delegates at stake for Republicans in NY and GOP front-runner Donald Trump wants to win all of them.
“We’re going to show Ted Cruz, who hates New York”, Trump told a raucous crowd at the First Niagara Center, adding Cruz had voted against federal aid after superstorm Sandy.
Pataki predicted that while Trump is “going to win” the NY primary on Tuesday, the billionaire may fall below the 50-percent threshold in enough districts to allow Kasich to pick up some delegates. Trump was leading his rivals in NY preference polls ahead of Tuesday’s primary.
“Ted Cruz was not my first choice”, said Graham.
Mr. Keller said he is trying to get out the word that he will be a vote for Mr. Trump and set up a “Delegates for Trump” webpage that lists more than 40 others who are pledged to Mr. Trump. Of Republican voters, 27 percent supported Sanders, with 24 percent undecided.
Former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu appeared on Fox News on Monday morning to discuss the latest news about the ongoing race to secure the needed 1,237 delegates to win the Republican Party presidential nomination.
Cruz said he has the best chance to beat Hillary, which is why so many are joining his campaign. “We have made a decision to move forward with or without the campaign”.
As with Colorado’s Republican state convention, which also went for Cruz, Wyoming’s delegate process favors the organized, and Cruz built a ground game in the state.
Under Wisconsin GOP rules, the state’s delegates are “bound” – or required to vote for the candidate they represent – until that candidate falls below one-third support in any floor vote.

If Trump gets 50% plus one vote, he takes the statewide 14 delegates, which would mean he’s “stealing” 6-7 delegates he would not get under a strictly proportional system.
