Grammy Award-winning singer Sam Smith wax figure joins museum collection in
Sam Smith gave his wax model a kiss when he unveiled it at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco on Monday (08.10.15). The release of his debut album in 2014, In the Lonely Hour, led by the soul-inflected single Stay with Me earned him a No. 2 on the US Billboard Top 200, and garnered him four Grammy Awards in 2015, including Best New Artist, and Best Pop Album.

The 23-year-old singer says he sat for about 4 hours with a group of Madame Tussauds artists however then misplaced weight and needed to pose once more. But this time, it was with his newly created wax figure.
Chris Connors, General Manager of Madame Tussauds, said: “Madame Tussauds is honoured to celebrate Sam Smith’s musical accomplishments here in San Francisco and to welcome him into our effervescent Music Room”. The process was so fascinating and I will never look at a wax figure in the same way again.
The star told fans on social media: “Having a little bit too much fun at Madame Tussaud’s in San Fran right now”.
