Gran Turismo Sport Release Date Announced

Polyphony Digital has announced that its upcoming racer, Gran Turismo Sport, will release on November 15 in North America and November 18 in Europe.

Sony and Polyphony Digital will be unveiling a brand-new trailer for “Gran Turismo Sport”, formerly referred to as “Gran Turismo 7”, this coming May 19.

Cars are split into four distinct groups, with the more fictional GT Vision concept cars being introduced alongside some other new additions.

Gran Turismo Sport, the first entry in the Gran Turismo franchise that will be released on the Playstation 4, was announced past year at the Paris Games Show.

The campaign accompanies an Arcade Mode and Sport Mode – the online mode Sony is most interested in pushing. All of the cars have also been remodelled “from scratch” since Gran Turismo 6, and every one now has an interior view.

Northern Isle Speedway – the first 1.2 mile oval track to appear in GT Oval track.

The date was provided during a special event showcasing the game.

Other features talked about at the event include a redesigned museum mode for showcasing vehicle models, the ability to create custom auto decals for the first time in the series, an improved photo mode called “Scapes” that supports 4K images, and a smartphone companion app.

It sounds like the game will include an Arcade Mode, Sport Mode, a campaign of some sort, social features, a livery editor, almost 140 cars (including fantasy vehicles), 19 locations, 27 different course layouts and over 1,000 “photo spots”.
