Grand jury subpoenas issued in FBI’s Russian Federation investigation, CNN reports
Trump is aware of the fact that Russian investigation will make him loose ratings at home, reports CNN.

The Russian government-funded news outlet that United States intelligence agencies say played a key role in disseminating stolen emails meant to damage the candidacy of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
CNN learned of the subpoenas hours before President Donald Trump fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey. So now that committee is forcing Flynn to hand them over.
The statements from Yates, an Obama administration holdover, offered by far the most detailed account of the chain of events that led to Flynn’s ouster as national security adviser in the first weeks of the Trump administration.
If the Senate and House committee investigations of the Russian Federation imbroglio are moving on, lawmakers will be listening closely to McCabe for any clues about the FBI’s own investigation, the only one with the prospect of resulting in criminal charges. Undisclosed payments that Flynn received from Russian-backed entities, such as Kremlin-sponsored television network RT, have also inspired questions from lawmakers looking into allegations of coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Flynn received $45,000 from the Russia-owned news outlet, RT, to appear at a gala in December 2015. Richard Burr said that the subpoena is being issued because Flynn is refusing to cooperate and hand over the records on his own accord.
In late March Flynn requested immunity from prosecution to testify before the committee because he “certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it”, his lawyer Robert Kelner said.
A White House spokeswoman on Wednesday dismissed the idea that Trump had tried to intimidate the FBI investigators, attorneys or others involved in its counterintelligence investigation.
Flynn’s lawyer, Robert Kelner, has said that Flynn was not hiding anything, noting that he briefed the DIA on his trip to Russian Federation.
The top Democrat and Republican on a House oversight committee have said that Flynn likely broke federal law by failing to get approval from the US government to accept foreign payments and not disclosing them after accepting them.
“We believed that General Flynn was compromised with respect to the Russians”, she said. He was also paid $530,000 a year ago by a businessman linked to the Turkish government, all while serving as an adviser to the Trump campaign.

After Flynn was sacked, it was discovered that he had registered with Justice Department’s Foreign Agent Registration Unit for lobbying work that “benefited the Republic of Turkey”.
