Grand Theft Auto V Secret Bigfoot Mode

Ever since the early days of the “Grand Theft Auto” game franchise, many fans have reported an unusual sighting of Bigfoot during their playthrough from the “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” title to possibly the latest one, “Grand Theft Auto V”.

Some astute Redditers noticed that a new Achievement/Trophy called Cryptozoologist was added to the game last week in its most recent update.

The thing is, even when all animals are found at the achievement is unlocked, the counter reads 21/22, and offers the cryptic message “You unlocked all animals for use in Director Mode… or did you?”

The peyote plants in GTA V allows players to experience some trippy moments in the game but one special, golden peyote plant will enable players to turn into the famed and mythical Sasquatch.

But something was amiss: when you get the animal actors menu, the player is shown as only having 21 out of a possible 22.

Redditer rkRusty delved into the code for the PC version of GTA V to find the exact locations of the plants and what makes them appear.

There are some other conditions that need to be cleared for this to work.

Still, if you check all these requirements, you’ll find yourself in control of a fully playable Bigfoot. You must have all 27 other peyotes and you must have spared the Sasquatch during “The Last One” mission.

YouTube channel 2H2K ran through this process and was able to play as Bigfoot, as you can see in the video above. It turns out Bigfoot not only knows how to drive, but can also use a shotgun!

The thread, titled “Holy mother of God I found the Sasquatch Peyote”, lays out the complex circumstances that need to be in place to find the mysterious peyote button that triggers the Sasquatch transformation.
