A double from Lars Stindl and strikes from Raffael and Fabian Johnson were enough to see off the La Liga visitor, which responded through Vitolo and Ever Banega’s late penalty.

Borussia Monchengladbach captain Granit Xhaka returns to his side’s starting XI for their Champions League Group D match against Sevilla.
The hosts doubled the lead when US worldwide Johnson curled his shot across the face of the goal, around Rico and into the far corner on 68 minutes. “It was an important game”.
“We boast lots of players that can find the net and it’s going really well for us”.
Raffael added a third and Vitolo cut the deficit in the 82nd before Stindl responded with his second goal of the evening a minute later in an entertaining finale that included a penalty for Sevilla in stoppage time and converted by Banega.
“We produced a strong performance”. Julian Korb lifted his eyes on the edge of a box and played Johnson in down the other side, with the American curling a sumptuous finish past Sergio Rico after cutting inside.
Juventus sit atop the standings in Group D with 11 points followed by Manchester City (9 points), Monchengladbach (5 points) and Sevilla (3 points).
Sevilla, looking to halt a run of three straight defeats, responded with a chance for Yevhen Konoplyanka, who failed to beat the goalkeeper Yann Sommer from three metres out. Mochengladbach have a quality side with Stindl, Hazard and Rafael all capable of scoring and will definitley be lookign to end their Champions League year with a positive last home game.
It was but a momentary setback. He released Lars Stindl and the midfielder dutifully fired home from 20 yards.
But Emery insisted his side have not given up on securing a place in the Europa League, a competition they have won twice in the last two seasons. “But the task will be very demanding”, said ‘Gladbach coach Andre Schubert, who has overseen a remarkable change in fortunes at the club since taking over in September.
