Granite State paper, grassroots organizers force February 4 Democratic debate outside DNC

Democratic presidential candidates, former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley (L), former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (C) and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders (R) arrive on stage for the Democratic Candidates Debate on January 17, 2016.

The Sanders campaign released a statement on Wednesday proposing three debates in addition to the last-minute contest on February 4. A new Quinnipiac poll of Iowa has Sanders moving ahead of Clinton with 49 percent support to her 45 percent.

“We have always been willing to add additional debates beyond the six that had been scheduled and look forward to starting discussions on scheduling debates in April and May”, Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said in an email to reporters.

He also dismissed speculation that President Barack Obama might be tipping the scales in favor of Clinton after the president praised his former secretary of state in a Politico interview. “We are grateful that the Union Leader and NBC have heard the voices of New Hampshire voters who have advocated loud and clear for a final debate since the summer”.

Perry is scheduled to make seven stops with Cruz in central Iowa on Tuesday, along with Iowa congressman Steve King and Bob Vander Plaats, head of the social conservative advocacy group The Family Leader. And all of the three Democratic candidates must be invited. Addressing a crowd of around 1,000 people in Manchester, New Hampshire last week, Clinton asked how many people carried student debt. Now she is asking to change the rules to schedule a debate next week that is not sanctioned by the DNC. For some reason, Democrat women really, really believe America is a horribly oppressive and misogynistic country (could it be a liberal problem, since that’s who they surround themselves with?) and believe every word Ms. Clinton says about inequality. The campaigns are making their move to take the schedule back, and the real winners if Clinton and Sanders can come to an agreement will be Democratic primary voters.

“The DNC has said this would be an unsanctioned debate so we would not want to jeopardize our ability to participate in future debates”, Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver said.

Clinton responded to Gipple at the town hall by saying that she was happy to see young people involved in the election “in any way”.

“I’m ready for the debate and I hope Sen”.

Clinton spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri said earlier this week that Clinton would participate if the other candidates agree, allowing the party to sanction the debate.

Leaders of the powerful Culinary Workers Union in Las Vegas – which remains neutral in the race – condemned Sanders’ campaign staffers who falsely claimed an affiliation with the union as a way to gain access to its members at casino employee dining rooms.
