Grassley Wants Clinton FBI Notes Released to Public
Meanwhile, the New York Times notes that there’s likely classified information in these notes, which “is being provided with the expectation it will not be disseminated or disclosed without F.B.I. concurrence”.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said in a statement provided to NBC News, “With the exception of the classified emails that had been found on the private server, I can see little legitimate goal to which Congress will put these materials”.
Fox reported that a congressional source confirmed Tuesday that the FBI’s summary notes from the interview were “heavily redacted”.
As is common practice with FBI interviews of witnesses and investigative targets alike, a full transcript of the Democratic presidential nominee’s FBI interview does not exist and the FBI did not record the interview, Comey explained in his testimony in July.
Senate judiciary committee chairman Chuck Grassley, a Republican, said in a statement on Tuesday an initial review of the material showed most of it was marked unclassified.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is calling on the Federal Bureau of Investigation to make public all the materials it delivered to Congress about her private email server.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who has twice demanded answers about the FBI’s investigation from its director, James Comey, noted his staff had received the interview summaries.
The Clinton campaign has called for the notes to become public.
Clinton has been dogged for more than a year by questions about her use of a private email account while she was the nation’s top diplomat from 2009 to 2013. On the heels of her husband calling out the FBI, Clinton’s vice presidential selection, Tim Kaine, has come forward to dispel claims she’s not trustworthy. This acknowledgment by the State Department is also at odds with her official campaign statement suggesting all “work or potentially work-related emails” were provided to the State Department.
“The FBI already determined unanimously that there is insufficient evidence of criminal wrongdoing”, said Cummings, D-Md.
“The State Department respects the FBI’s desire to accommodate the request of its committees of oversight in Congress just as we do with our oversight committees”, Trudeau said Monday.
The agency wanted to review any documents relating to the interview before they are provided to Congress, State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said.

The notes were released at the same time the State Department announced it would release previously undisclosed emails that the FBI uncovered in their investigation. “My understanding is that we have not received them”.
