Virtual reality should be the next big thing in the gaming industry, and Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) is not relenting on its push to take the lead on the same. The first Gravity Rushgame for PlayStation Vita will be making its way to PS4 this year, and Sony also said that Gravity Rush 2for PS4 is coming in 2016. During the presentation, a video of people playing PlayStation VR games is shown.
In Japan, the 500GB model of the PS4 will cost ¥34980 ($290 or R3, 800), down from ¥39980 ($332, R4, 440), as announced at the Tokyo Game Show.
The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive will work out fine with their naming schemes, but no matter the huge media attention, they’re not going to be mass market items, at least not at launch.
PS VR is only one of the many VR headset projects now under development. Like the PlayStation VR, 2016 is the expected launch date for much of the market. Let us know in the comments, and we’ll be back with more updates from the Tokyo Game Show all week long.
The footage featured even certain exploratory games, either battling it out as mecha action in giant robot suits, delving into the ocean, or even a more questionable dating sim game.
Masayasu Ito, an Executive Vice President at Sony said the PlayStation VR name not only expresses directly an entirely new PlayStation experience that allows players to feel like they are physically inside a virtual world of the game they are playing, but reflects on our hopes that we want users to feel familiarity while enjoying the fantastic experience.

Sony has a week of VR presentations planned, including demos for Final Fantasy XIV, Danganronpa VR, Hatsune Miku, and Summer Lesson. Europe may be seeing similar news soon.
