Great Marlow School deputy head teacher ‘delighted’ at ‘excellent’ GCSE results

A total of 56 per cent of students achieved five A*-C grades including English and maths plus 59 per cent of students reaching the new basics measure of an A*-C grade in English and maths.

Alice Evans and Francesca Tinsdeall both achieved the maximum 11 A* grades in all subjects.

Samuel Ward headteacher Kath Just said: “We are so proud of all our students and the results they have achieved this year”.

The 16-year-old, who lives in Walton Cardiff, got three As, three Bs and two Cs and now plans to study economics, Maths and biology A-levels in the school’s sixth form.

He plans to take maths, physics and computers, with his sights set on engineering when he leaves school.

“I would particularly like to thank my staff who continuously go above and beyond and really care. I hope they will give me a good chance for uni”.

We have a very dedicated set of staff, students and parents who have worked tirelessly in order to help students secure their best results.

At Castle Manor, student Jadrien Apiado achieved an A*, a Distinction* six As and two Bs.

Student Alicia Baghdouyan was the school’s leading GCSE performer, gaining five A* grades, five As and a distinction.

She said: “I’m so happy – I’m shaking!”

He has achieved eight A* to C grades, including four A*/As today.

“It is great to see a larger proportion of our students achieving the very highest grades at a time when exam standards are becoming ever tougher”.

“Their hard work has yielded astonishing results, and we congratulate them wholeheartedly'”.
