Greece to return military helicopter to Turkey: gov’t spokesperson
On Friday, a military coup attempt was carried out in Turkey.

An eight-member crew aboard on Turkish military helicopter has landed in Alexandroupoli, northern Greece, here on Saturday.
Turkey has asked Greece to return eight soldiers who fled there in a helicopter, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Twitter.

Athens News Agency said the asylum seekers comprised of three majors, three captains and two sergeant majors.
A Greek government spokeswoman said: “We will follow the procedures of global law”.
According to an official in the Greek National Defense General Staff, “the helicopter is scheduled to be sent back immediately to Turkey”.
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said he had spoken to his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu to underline the U.K.’s support for the democratically elected government.
Some 104 plotters were killed after a coup attempt to bring down the Turkish government, while 160 people – at least 41 of them police and 47 civilians – fell as “martyrs”.

More than 161 people are dead and more than 1,000 wounded following the violent clashes in Turkey after a coup was launched to overthrow Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government.
