While the Green Bay Packers may see the injury of Jordy Nelson as an unfortunate incident, Quin thinks that the NFL preseason match actually provided a silver lining nonetheless. Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix rolled into the back of his leg. He missed the rest of the 2013 season after teammate David DeCastro dove into a play and hit him.

Nelson, who has tallied 1,000 yard receiving seasons in three of the last four years and caught 43 touchdown passes over the last four years, will be sorely missed.

Pro Bowl wide receiver Jordy Nelson is out for the season. The Packers used a third round draft pick on Stanford wide receiver Ty Montgomery.

That it was Nelson’s right knee was a bit of a surprise, considering he appeared to land awkwardly on his left knee after a short reception on the game’s opening drive. Fellow starter Randall Cobb is dedicating the season to his teammate. But Rodgers’ somber tone after the game foreshadowed the bad news for one of the league’s best offenses.

Another player possibly getting an increased role is TE Richard Rodgers. “We don’t know. But we’ll move forward and be back next year”. “I don’t understand why everybody jumps on everybody for what they believe”. The Packers may contemplate those options, but the reality is Adams proved himself enough during his rookie season to give the organization confidence he can get the job done.
