Green Bay Packers’ Jordy Nelson out for 2015 season

With the injury incurred by wide receiver Jordy Nelson during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend, the Packers find themselves at a loss – with the NFL team’s potential shot to take home the Super Bowl trophy seemingly getting out of reach.

Demovsky notes that defensively, the Packers probably can’t finish 23rd in rushing defense like they did last season.

“They’re a good football team, not because of one player, but because of the culture that they’ve built over there”, quarterback Matthew Stafford said Monday. “I’ve been around long enough, I know exactly how I’m going to play them, how many reps I want”. Like nose tackle B.J. Raji, who stayed with the team all of last season after rupturing his biceps tendon in training camp and missing the year, McCarthy made it sound as though Nelson will be around as the de facto assistant wide receivers coach.

Nelson posted on his Facebook page, “Thank you to my family, the Packers, my friends, my partners and Packers fans everywhere for your thoughts and prayers”.

Nelson set career highs in 2014 of 98 catches and 1,519 receiving yards. The Detroit Lions star went on to say, “But in my beliefs, and the way I believe, it was – God meant for Jordy to get hurt”. Defenses could lock into Cobb more and that could be a major issue this season and could force players like Adams and Janis to really step up.

Nelson tore the ligament during a preseason game, prompting his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to criticize the exhibition as “meaningless” while saying it was frustrating to suffer injuries before the season even started.

The plan for playing time in the third preseason game on Saturday is to be determined.

Johnson has not played in the first two preseason games, and Stafford has played only three series in the two games combined.

He quickly jogged/limped off the field and was still on the sideline to congratulate running back Eddie Lacy on his touchdown run four plays later.

It is simply going to be just a little totally different with out Nelson, who was misplaced for the season with the suitable knee damage after leaping for a cross on the primary collection of the 24-19 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. “But these things happen. You have to go out and earn it every day in this league”.

“What I think is, I think the young man did a very good job of explaining himself thoroughly”, Caldwell said. He also said God is bigger than football and the game is about growth and learning from injuries, and winning and losing.
