Green fined for kicking Adams in the groin
The NBA’s ruling to upgrade the foul Green committed when he kicked Adams in the groin to a Flagrant Foul 2 left the Warriors forward one flagrant foul in the playoffs away from an automatic suspension.

OKC’s size and shot-blocking ability with Durant, Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams has forced Green to alter his shot in the paint, and that’s been compounded by the fact that his 3-point shot simply isn’t falling (2 for 12). Green was driving to the basket against Adams when Green stopped and lifted his leg, causing him to kick Adams in the groin.
“During a game, players at times flail their legs in an attempt to draw a foul”, VanDeWeghe added. The Warriors trail the Thunder 2-1, and if Green is suspended the Warriors will lose plenty of All-Star muscle for Game 4 on Tuesday night.
The Rotorua-born star of the Oklahoma City Thunder is big news in the States, as Jack Tame explains. “He’s one of the premier players in the league on, arguably, one of the best teams in the history of the game”, Durant said Tuesday after the Thunder’s morning workout at their practice facility in preparation for Tuesday night’s Game 4. He scored just six points on 1-of-7 shooting, with 11 rebounds, two assists, six turnovers and a minus-30 in the box score. “Obviously, the issue is he got him in the wrong place, and it was unfortunate, but I don’t think there was any intent behind it. So I don’t think he’ll be suspended”. The Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr is also standing by his player, stating that “this stuff happens all the time”.
Westbrook dismissed the comments from Green, who said the Thunder player kicked him later in the game. “It’s what I’ve thrived off. It’s frustrating, because I know that’s who I always am”.
Green is a starter, an elite defender for the Warriors. He was instead fined, and allowed to suit up for tonight’s Game 4 showdown, taking place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Game 3. If they think it’s on objective, play the game, you know. “That’s two times in the last two games. I was following through on my shot and my leg went up”. He just didnt happen to catch me where I caught Steven Adams..

“We’ve been successful playing small-ball because I can guard everybody on the court, one through five”, Durant said. “I don’t think you can keep (hitting) somebody in their private areas”.
