Green, Thompson picked, giving Warriors 3 NBA All-Stars

The Mavericks comfortably defeated the Warriors on December 30 for one of only four defeats Golden State has suffered, but were a long way off the National Basketball Association pacesetters in this latest encounter. Furthermore, the Sixers yielded just 18 points in the third quarter, then buckled down to keep the Warriors to 17 points in the fourth period. It came down to the last minute where the game was tied at 105-105, and the Warriors had the ball.

Klay Thompson has as many 40-point games as Kevin Durant this season. Golden State won 1…

It seems like very few teams have been able to stop the Golden State Warriors this year.

This was a game even the Warriors felt they should have lost.

Harrison Barnes hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left, preventing the Warriors from blowing a 24-point lead.

Klay Thompson had 32 points and Stephen Curry scored 23 for the Warriors as they opened their three-game road trip with a sixth-straight victory. Per usual, Draymond Green stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of 10 points, 13 rebounds and nine dimes.

“They’re a championship team, they really are”, said Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis, who had seven points and seven rebounds in his return Friday after missing his first game of the season Thursday with an upper respiratory illness.

Isaiah Canaan top-scored for the 76ers with 18 points as they dropped to 7-41 this season.

“We all got to coach it previous year”, he said.

Jordan threw down a dunk with 15.2 seconds left off a pass from Chris Paul to put the Clippers ahead, and Crawford made two free throws with 7.6 seconds remaining. Curry quickly hit Draymond Green, who pinged the ball directly to Barnes.

Green, a first-time All-Star, was informed by his mother during an interview on TV.

When she delivered the news, Green cracked up and asked, “How does she know this and I don’t?” For now, Curry making circus shots got louder cheers than another excellent game (by his and the Sixers own standards) from Ish Smith.

“Anybody but the MVP”, he said. The Warriors, however, outscored the Sixers 35-19 the rest of the quarter to take a 73-54 halftime lead.It was the most points the Sixers have allowed in a half this season. Barnes’ three-point heave found the bottom of the net, and wiped out any possibility of an overtime period, or a potential Sixers’ victory. Going into the half, the Warriors dished out franchise record-tying 26 assists on 32 made baskets.

Perched atop the players entrance to the stadium, the diehard Curry fanatics were unable to get close enough to hand the Golden State Warriors star a pen and paper and ask for his signature.

There’s been hardly any buzz at 76ers home games this season, but there was a carnival-like atmosphere more than an hour before tipoff.
