A Greenville native who was performing at a music venue in central Paris where terrorist gunmen opened fire, killing dozens of people and taking as many as 100 others hostage is safe, according to news reports and social media. The band was shaped within the late Nineteen Nineties by lifelong buddies Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, the group’s exclusively two everlasting members.
She said that Hughes was “there”, without elaborating.
Hughes told his brother that band members and the group’s tech crew were accounted for.
The Washington Post reported that it had spoken with the mother of the band’s drummer, who reportedly said that the band was safe. I simply spoke with Eden.
A statement later posted on the band’s Facebook page attributed to EODM, said: “We are still now trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew”.
‘Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation’.
According to early reviews, the Bataclan was believed to have been attacked by two or three gunmen, who have been stated to have shouted slogans condemning France’s position in Syria as they went via the live performance corridor capturing individuals.
Homme also founded the band Queens of the Stone Age.
Homme and Hughes, both from the Southern California town of Palm Desert, met as teenagers.
