“Then we have some decisions to make”, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said.

After a stadium inspection, it now seems the Nationals have managed to take a page from Taylor’s book and “Shake It Off”.

The team said in a statement Saturday morning that the circuit breaker was replaced shortly after midnight and the lights were tested throughout the night with no additional outages.

The NL division leaders were set to play their scheduled game later Saturday afternoon. The two-out drive into the second deck came against Pedro Baez (2-2).

“First-pitch fastball. I was just ready to be aggressive early”, den Dekker said. “Obviously, maybe I should have been”.

-2B Howie Kendrick had two hits Sunday against Max Scherzer. Those moves limited the manager’s options in the eighth. “I don’t have the liberty of just matching up with everybody”.

“Thank God the X-rays came back negative”, said Grandal, who have more tests on Monday. He’s just gotta go out there and do his job, and we’ve gotta do our job and help him out.

These aren’t the pitches you’re looking for.

Athletics 14, Twins 1 – Jake Smolinski homered twice for four RBIs and Josh Reddick hit a grand slam as Oakland rolled over visiting Minnesota.

Casey Janssen (1-2) pitched one inning.

The 31-year-old right-hander threw a season-high 119 pitches and didn’t allow a runner past first base.

Miguel Gonzalez (8-6) allowed two runs and six hits in five innings.

Greinke (9-2) started the All-Star Game on Tuesday and gave up a leadoff homer to Mike Trout, but that run doesn’t count in the regular-season statistics.

Even with Scherzer lasting only six innings, the game was significantly closer than the score indicated.

Mark Teixeira homered with two outs in the eighth inning for the Yankees as New York rallied for a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners for a series win. After the lights went out a third time, the teams were called off the field for good.

The game on Friday night was a stop-and-go affair. Ethier advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored two batters later on a wild pitch by Scherzer. Zack is 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA in 5 career starts vs the Nationals, while in this park he has gone 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 2 starts.

The first stoppage ultimately forced both starting pitchers out of the game. Scherzer has enjoyed mixed success in nine career appearances (seven starts) against the Dodgers, however, going 2-3 with a 3.51 ERA. He’s 7-2 lifetime against the Nationals and unbeaten in five starts since August. 6, 2010. The Nationals rank 11th in scoring (4.26 rpg), while on the mound they are 9th in ERA (3.56).
