The actor who portrays Owen Hunt shared that some parts of the narrative will focus around Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) budding relationship with Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson).

The upcoming season 13 of “Grey’s Anatomy” will revolve around the relationships of the lead characters.
Season 12 saw Meredith and Riggs starting a sexual relationship.
In one of Entertainment Weekly’s Spoiler Room articles, Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen, discussed the impending revelation.
He explained that Owen was nearly like a brother to Meredith and Derek was his friend. Nathan is the first man that Meredith has been with since the death of her husband, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) in season 11. “He’ll be a bit territorial to be honest”, he said.
In addition to caring for Meredith, Owen has his own reasons for not wanting to let Riggs into his life or the lives of his friend – even if it’s illogical.
Owen’s sister was engaged to Nathan and after some time, she found out that he was cheating on her.
The actor added: “Also, the last time Riggs got close to somebody Owen cares about, she died”. “He might be being a little irrational when he find out”.
But Riggs won’t be the only one crushed by Meredith’s new relationship status. Also, the appearance of Constance Zimmer, Stella Maeve and Scott Foley of “Scandal”, is anticipated to either support Meredith or cause her harm.
Meanwhile, a former post from Parent Herald has mentioned that storyline would also depict love hurdles and conflicts between siblings and friends when “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 airs. In the Season 12 finale of “Grey’s Anatomy”, Maggie (Kelly McCreary) told her sister that she thought Rigg’s was into her. How will Maggie react when she finds out? However, Owen will not take the news well, especially considering his relationships with both characters.
“That’s going to come out, I’m sure, next season”, McKidd told Entertainment Weekly of Meredith and Riggs’ season 12 hook-up. “From Nathan’s point of view, he’s really wanting to bury the hatchet and actually move on”.
