April is bringing in a little boy from Jordan who has tumors growing on his fingers.
How much more of Penny will we see?
Jackson and April have a confrontation after Jackson sees the severity of Kamal’s condition, and he yells at her for lying to him. But Nathan’s doubt in Jackson only inspires him to take on the case – or at least, do a biopsy. And I do think that the experience with Derek is the worst night of her life. This patient has become the talk of the town after he sent out his sex tape to his entire congregation. His friend came into the hospital after getting into a vehicle crash with his daughter, one Richard believes was caused due to the un-treated arthritis in his friend’s foot. When Richard confronts his friend about his un-treated diabetes, he questions why Richard thinks he can give him parental advice when he doesn’t even have any kids. At first, it seems as though there wasn’t going to be any bone for Callie to work with, but she eventually was able to find enough to form the hand, and the whole crowd joined in a round of applause.
Meanwhile, Richard continues to try to be a part of Maggie’s life.
Penny ultimately turns to Callie (Sara Ramirez) for a shoulder to lean on and insists that her girlfriend – whom she hasn’t spoken with since the dinner from hell – stay out of it. That, however, doesn’t last long as Callie overhears Meredith venting to Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) about Penny. However, he eventually decides to perform the surgery in hopes of saving Kamal’s hands, and requests the help of Callie. They have been working through their loss and trying to heal. (She’s totally referencing their failed relationship, right?) “There’s nothing here to save”, Jackson reiterates. When Meredith gets to his room, she flips out on Penny and kicks her off of her service. Well, Callie is in one of the stalls and overhears this conversation. Meredith and Amelia were monstrous to her. Callie tells her that she isn’t teaching her, she is being a bully!
It’s easy to hate people when they’re extracted [from your life], but what do you do when you see that they’re just a person? Jackson tells him that they will get more and more like hands with a few more surgeries. Secondly, the arrival of an old friend and his daughter led Richard to reevaluate his complicated relationship with his own daughter, Maggie. However, they are at an impasse once again when Edwards comes to a realization that Jo is jealous of her talents as a surgeon.

The two then embrace each other with a hug.
