The actress told Entertainment Weekly that her character’s plot will likely center on adjusting to married life after hastily deciding to tie the knot with Owen.

The actress revealed that she’s expecting her second child Thursday at a Television Critics Association event, walking the red carpet with a baby bump, which she also spoke about with some reporters.
As you may know, the twosome are already parents to their daughter Eliza – whom they welcomed into the world back in July 2012.
‘Yeah. We’re kind of not [saying],’ she said. “We’re picking up the season immediately after we left off, which was the wedding where Amelia was not pregnant”, Caterina revealed, referring to her pregnancy not being written into Amelia’s storyline on Grey’s Anatomy.
Amelia has been pregnant once before, when she was on Private Practice.
Don’t fret Grey’s fans, Caterina isn’t going anywhere… and NO, they won’t be writing her pregnancy into the show. “I think Shonda is going to give me a break on this one”.
There will, however, be some “fancy footwork” involving “lab coats”, she joked.
“So far, it’s actually pretty sexy”, she said of Owen and Amelia’s relationship, “but I imagine – just knowing Shondaland and knowing life – that they’re going to have to figure their stuff out”.
