Melissa George reportedly called the police and was taken to hospital with bruises on her face after allegedly being assaulted by her long-term partner.
French website Purepeople reported that the Australian actress, who lives in Paris with her French partner of four years Jean-David Blanc and their two sons, went to the police with facial injuries and complaining of pain and feeling faint.
“The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris”. Melissa was taken to the hospital due to bruising and swelling of her face, where she was reportedly hit by Jean-David.
There are no reports of Jean-David being arrested or charged over the alleged incident.
She rose to fame in Home And Away in the 90s, before landing recurring roles in Alias and Grey’s Anatomy. Most recently, she was on NBC’s “The Slap” and NBC’s “Heartbeat”, a medical drama where she played the lead character alongside Dave Annable.
The pair met in 2011 at the BAFTAs after-party and started dating in 2012.
Unfortunately, the show flatlined and was canceled by the network back in May following poor ratings and a negative critical reception. In February 2014 they welcomed son Raphael. The couple has been together for four years, and share two children together.
