Griezmann comes through again to lift Atletico to win
The France worldwide has established himself as one of Europe’s finest forwards over the past two years since leaving Real Sociedad for Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014, and scored the only goal of the game as Atleti moved up to third in La Liga with a 1-0 win over Deportivo on Sunday night.

The hosts lost midfielder Augusto Fernandez and defender Jose Gimenez to leg injuries in the first half.
Deportivo was able to stifle Atletico’s attack until Faycal Fajr left his team a man down in first-half injury time when he picked up a second yellow card for a low tackle on Nicolas Gaitan.
Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he has split with his agent and will now move forward representing himself.
“The doctors will inform us better”, he said of Augusto.
It remains to be seen whether or not the absence of his former agent has any major impact on Griezmann’s future decisions, as he has for the most part insisted that he isn’t interested in leaving the Spanish capital unless coach Diego Simeone goes first.
“Now they need a big bowl of pasta, a good flan and to sleep well”, added the Argentine.
“We’ll do our recovery on Monday, train again on Tuesday, sleep well and then play the game on Wednesday without any excuses”.
Griezmann had the hosts’ best chance of a first half disrupted by the injuries to Fernandez and Gimenez when he slotted wide from Angel Correa’s cross.
Lux pushed Yannick Carrasco’s long strike onto his bar in the 53rd at the start of a barrage by Atletico.
“It took us time to get into the rhythm that was needed”, he said.
The visitors secured victory in the second half, when, on 52 minutes, Mario Suarez converted a low cross from Portugal midfielder Nani, signed from Turkish club Fenerbahce in the summer.
However, Szymanowski had the chance to give Leganes a deserved share of the points when Alves upended Alberto Martin half an hour from time.
Voro has now won eight of the 10 games he has taken charge of in four caretaker spells.
Villarreal followed its 1-1 draw at Real Madrid with a comfortable 3-1 win over promoted Osasuna to move to fourth place with 12 points, two behind leader Madrid.

There was still time left for Danish midfielder Pione Sisto to charge the length of the pitch through a exhausted Espanyol defence and drill the ball low into the bottom corner from 22 yards to record Celta Vigo’s second win of the week which sees them climb to 11th and leaves the hosts now in 18th place.
