Fast forward to 2016, and Griffin is trying to resurrect his career in Cleveland while Pryor is learning the nuances of the wide receiver position.

Ryan completed 6 of 11 passes for 78 yards and engineered a touchdown drive on Atlanta’s first possession, ending with a 19-yard run off right tackle by running back Devonta Freeman. Cleveland is also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 overall, while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. Jones, a second-round draft pick, played in the middle while Campbell, taken in the fourth round, played on the weak side.

The Falcons cut the lead to 13-10 before halftime on a 30-yard field goal by backup kicker Nick Rose. PK Matt Bryant didn’t play beacuse of tightness, according to the team.

WR Josh Gordon (quad) returned to practice Tuesday but didn’t play.

Barring some type of a setback with this shoulder injury, there’s little reason to believe that Beasley won’t be back for the all-important third preseason game, and doesn’t seem likely to miss any regular-season action either. Mack was a necessary upgrade for the Falcons, after a season of converted guard Mike Person at center, and Mack will return to face his former team in Cleveland after opting out of the final year of his contract with the Browns to hit free agency.
